About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Business Partner to join our team in Northam, WA on a Fixed-term contract of 18 months. This role will be Part-time and involve a 3-day working week.
One of our key values is Safety and, in this role, you will champion this by working closely with business leaders to create an environment where safety is front of mind and is the key behaviour that drives the way the team effectively completes their tasks and duties.
You will be responsible for facilitating Health & Safety activities to educate, influence and embed a strong safety culture among the Team Leaders. You will also provide the team with practical and pragmatic HSE advice and ensure that all state regulations are complied with, ensuring our self-insurance system's integrity through regular site auditing.

**Additional responsibilities include**:

- Collating and generating reports within the HSE arena
- Sharing reports of HSE issues with Management Teams
- Investigating incidents and patterns identified as appropriate.
- Hands on coaching and managing performance of the team.
- Driving engagement and energy around safety
- Demonstrating inclusive leadership: enabling accountability and ownership by site leaders, proactively soliciting their views and input and challenging biases
- Creating an environment that encourages personal growth and development opportunities
- Positively managing and driving sustainable change
- Experience in Injury Management, Auditing lead, Dangerous Goods Act etc.

About You
This is a hands-on position where you will enjoy ensuring that you are consistently visible on the production floor, working closely with the team at Northam.

- Well-developed interpersonal skills, proven capability influencing outcomes and the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ability to strongly direct the team towards reaching its HSE goals and standards.
- Experience in identifying and deploying process improvement initiatives.
- A passion for providing expert advice, supporting and coaching people at all levels to drive improved risk management practices, meet performance targets, and maintain adherence to Group/MAURI audit criteria, policies and procedures.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience commissioning new mills advantageous.
