**POSITION PURPOSE**

The position requires a highly organized, process driven and detail oriented individual with a sense of urgency to complete tasks promptly but accurately. With a flexible outlook and able to take care of frequent interruptions and changing priorities. This role requires strong communication, customer service and social skills.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Manage and oversee the offshore payroll team based in Delhi, ensuring that all payroll processes are completed in a timely and accurate manner
- Processing a high volume of weekly timesheets
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, award interpretation and labour hire rules including:

- Pay and conditions,
- Modern Awards and National Employment Standards
- Record keeping and payslips
- Reporting: Labour hire reporting, Aged Care reporting and other client reporting requirements
- Other Compliances: STP reporting, Payroll Tax, Workcover, PAYG, FBT, Superannuation, and contributing to BAS submission.
- Provide guidance and support to the payroll team to ensure they have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their duties effectively
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the payroll and billing cycles
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
- Record and update metrics on processes, and performance management
- Manage Workers Compensation and assist where necessary with business insurances
- Digitisation: working with the global IT team and Australian finance, sales and operations teams to successfully implement new payroll and billing software that will integrate with a new CRM and booking system.
- Collaborate, share ideas, and help solve complex payroll and implementation queries as arise

**Qualifications**

**ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, **SKILLS** AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS**:

- Advanced payroll experience and knowledge with a passion for payroll, systems & management
- Experience with high volume end-to-end payroll processing and using a cloud-based payroll system (2Cloudnine, XERO) highly regarded
- Proven experience managing and leading a payroll team
- Process driven, solutions-focused, with a high degree of accuracy and a continuous improvement mindset.
- A strong understanding of relevant legislation, award interpretation, pay and conditions and labour hire rules for workplace in respect to both temporary and permanent employees.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with payroll system implementation or project management
- A natural ability to engage and partner with senior stakeholders and co-workers alike
- High-level of integrity along with the ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
- Team player; flexible and collaborative
