Melbourne Pathology is one of Victoria’s largest diagnostic pathology laboratories, committed to providing high quality health care throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria. The laboratory is centrally located in Collingwood, close to Melbourne CBD and well served by public transport. Melbourne Pathology is part of the Sonic Healthcare group, which has a number of cytogenetic laboratories in Australia and overseas.

The Cytogenetics Department of Melbourne Pathology is a busy laboratory processing a range of specimens using cytogenetic, microarray and FISH techniques.

An opportunity exists for a Laboratory Technician to join the Cytogenetics Department in a part time (22.8 hours per week) Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday position.

The applicant is required to have a Diploma of Applied Science or equivalent and should be enthusiastic and highly motivated. Laboratory experience in Cytogenetics or another diagnostic laboratory is not essential but would be an advantage.
