Head of Communications Anz

This senior role within our Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) business will help drive AECOM’s growth strategy by building our brand in the marketplace, and ensuring our people are engaged and empowered to deliver excellence for our clients.

The Head of Communications leads the development and implementation of our ANZ communications strategy. He/She/They will lead a diverse team that executes strategic internal and external campaigns and initiatives that support our operational goals, strengthen client relationships, evolve AECOM’s culture and ensure our people are connected, informed, and developing.
**Job Description** What will a day in this role look like**:

- In conjunction with the Clients & Marketing leadership team, design the annual communications strategy to support the ANZ business strategy, aligning with AECOM’s global communications plan.
- Prioritise support to our ANZ Chief Executive, providing strategic senior communications counsel.
- Lead and develop a small team of internal and external communications specialists to develop, deliver, and assess the impact of all internal and external communications priorities. Position this team as a trusted strategic advisor to the business.
- Partner with regional, business line and support services leaders to align on communication opportunities, including strategic initiatives, organisational changes, firm-wide policies, corporate updates, and crisis management.
- Provide direct communications support to key executives through insights, advice and reporting to drive engagement and maximise business performance.

**Qualifications**
In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with business leaders to ensure strategic initiatives deliver meaningful results and anticipate changes to keep us ahead of the curve.

**What are we looking for from you?**
- Exceptional written communication skills: we require an incredible writer and editor who can design and execute ideas, as well as plan, develop, communicate, benchmark, track, measure (yes, the lot).
- A consultative, service-oriented mindset; a team player with excellent listening skills and diplomacy.
- High level project management skills including the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- The ability to build trust and relationships quickly with stakeholders and colleagues, and to work at all levels to advise, influence, and empower.
- 15+ years of experience in a senior communications role with experience leading and passionate about both external and internal communications. Professional services experience preferred.
- Degree qualified in English Literature, Communications, Journalism or a related discipline
