Our client is now looking for a Senior person who can maintain and grow the profitability of the Transport Department in line with management/board expectations. You will also be responsible for the management and employment of all Transport Department staff required to deliver National Transport Services at the highest level to clients. You will be working closely with Warehouse Manager to ensure the National day to day Transport operations work as efficiently as possible with warehouse & logistics operations.

You will negotiate pricing and decide selection of National & Local carriers to ensure the DIFOT requirements of our clients are met. Develop and maintain Transport Department's operational standards by contributing Transport information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying Transport system improvements and achieving Key Performance Indicators. You will also ensure DIFOT and other reports are received by the warehouse Manager as required. Experience within a Freight Forwarder is essential.
