**Transport Services**is a Group within the Department of Transport & Planning and is responsible for delivering safe, reliable and accessible transport infrastructure and services to all Victorians.
**Network Operations**is a Division within Transport Services Group and is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable operation of Victoria’s Transport Network. The division ontinuously strives for better transport outcomes for all Victorians, every day.

**About the Role**
The Manager Transport Operations Centre is within Network Operations and is responsible for managing the core tasks in the Transport Operations Centre.
There are two Managers who manage the centre, each Manager will have a complement of team members from the Traffic Controller and Customer Response teams reporting to them and will work closely with other teams in the Transport Operations Centre and our on-road teams to deliver smoother and more predictable journeys on the road network. This diverse position will see you juggling multiple issues at once, supporting the operational team as the first point of escalation to coordinate multi-agency responses at a senior level in real time, driving performance improvement and best outcomes for road users.
The Manager Transport Operations Centre will deliver the highest standards of road user safety and experience and places these considerations at the forefront of every decision. You will exercise leadership and implement a command and coordination structure at all levels to ensure integration, coordination and alignment with state, departmental, operator and emergency services incident response.

**Position Outcomes / Accountabilities**
- **Effective People Leadership** - Manager, Transport Operations Centre has provided effective leadership, people management and support to their team. Staff are engaged with high levels of cohesion and commitment and are delivering on the services required.
- **Subject Matter Expertise** -an effective escalation point for staff and stakeholders within the Transport Operation Centre, which has led to improvements in the coordination and operational awareness between roads, public transport and third party operators,
- **Enhanced Operational Coordination -** There have been improvements in the operational awareness and coordination between Public Transport Operators and Road Operations in the Transport Operations Centre.
- **Events Management -** The impact of events on the network has been reduced and staff have had clear direction during events through consistent leadership, proactive monitoring, early interventions and sound task/action prioritisation and allocation by the incumbent.
- **Promote and support safe, inclusive and flexible team operations.**:
- **Fatigue Management**- The Manager, Transport Operations Centre has effectively prioritised services and managed capacity and employee fatigue and priorities during peak times, which has resulted in improvements in staff wellbeing.
