**The Role**
The position will be responsible for guiding ITSMs in the implementation of appropriate protective security measures to:
- Ensure that measures are in place to detect, report and respond to information systems security incidents;
- Assist team to develop resources to information systems security functions;
- Advise system owners and managers of risks to systems for which they are responsible;
- Ensure that systems are appropriately assessed and authorised throughout their life-cycle; and
- Ensure that systems are managed in accordance with any requirements stipulated as part of their Authorisation.
This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. **About our Team**
The ever-expanding role of cyberspace in Air Force business and operations has created new and emerging vulnerabilities. In order to manage this threat landscape, Air Force needs to maintain a secure, resilient and trusted electronic operating environment that supports Defence operations and business management.
To achieve effective cyberworthiness and cyber security for 92WG operations, the HQSRG A6 Cyber Team works on the following in general:
- Review Information and Communication Technology (ICT) documents to ensure the documents meet the Defence Assessment and Authorisation framework, ISM, DSPF and PSPF standard and ASD essential eight standards;
- Engage with stakeholders by conducting meetings or workshops to understand operational demands and cyber implications;
- Pre and post deployment briefs and cyber awareness training and advice to the operations units;
- Plans to improve cyber culture across HQSRG and 92WG units; and
- Provide HQSRG’s cyber requirements as inputs to the stakeholders before procuring any assets, ensure systems are cyber-safe and meets joint operations requirements.

- Able to deliver instructions to individuals or group;
- Able to provide advice to personnel from a non IT environment; and
- Manage a workload that may consist of changing priorities and workload peaks.
