The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Actuarial Valuation and Assumptions Chapter at Resolution Life Australasia, where you’ll play a key role in delivering experience investigations and business insights that shape strategic decision-making. As part of the Experience Investigation team, you’ll take ownership of setting best estimate assumptions and capital margins, providing high-quality analysis that supports senior leadership and drives business performance.
Your responsibilities will span the development of enhanced analytical infrastructure, streamlined data solutions, and integrated reporting processes. You’ll also contribute to strengthening risk management and internal controls within the actuarial function, while collaborating across teams to ensure consistency and innovation in data analytics. A strong understanding of actuarial principles, life insurance products, and profitability drivers will be essential to your success.

Your strong written and verbal communication skills will enable you to influence decision-making, foster collaboration, and ensure your insights are understood and actionable. This role offers a full-time permanent contract and embraces flexible working arrangements. You'll have the freedom to work remotely, with occasional office attendance required on an ad hoc basis, ensuring a harmonious balance between business needs and personal flexibility.
Your Story- A strong understanding of actuarial principles, standards, processes and operations- Strong technical skills and the ability to develop logical solutions to new problems- A good understanding of the life insurance business, its products and key drivers of profitability and returns- Adaptable and flexible attitude to cope with competing priorities whilst working to tight timeframes.- Self-motivated individual with a desire to achieve continuous improvement.- Ability to communicate concisely, but in a clear and effective way, both verbally and in writing.
