**Salary**: $84,063 - $96,559 p.a (pro rata) plus superannuation
**The opportunity**:
We are seeking a dynamic, organised, and proactive Officer Manager to support our Group Leader, Prof. Mimi Tang, in driving critical research initiatives. In this role, you will coordinate a variety of research, administrative, and support functions to enhance the productivity and success of multiple project teams. You will play a key role in managing research activities, ensuring efficient project delivery, and supporting groundbreaking studies in allergy and immunology.

Prevalence rates of food allergies and other allergic disorders have surged in recent decades, particularly in Western countries. These conditions are believed to be driven by changes in environmental exposures, particularly during the prenatal and early postnatal periods. The Allergy Immunology Research Group is dedicated to understanding the immune mechanisms behind allergic diseases and finding innovative prevention and treatment strategies. With a strong focus on gene-environment interactions, we aim to reduce the burden of allergic diseases through cutting-edge research.
**Your responsibilities include**:
Provide administrative support, including budget management, recruitment, and personnel coordination
Manage smaller research projects under supervision, ensuring smooth execution
Develop reports independently, from draft to final version
Oversee project agreements, including preparation, review, and filing
Facilitate internal and external meetings to drive project success
Manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring alignment on time, resources, and costs
Contribute to data collection, preparation, and distribution
**What we need from you**:
Degree/Honours/Masters qualification in relevant field or equivalent experience in a similar role
Proven experience in a related role such as Office Management or Project Officer, or similar
Exceptional leadership, organisational and time management skills
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Strong organisational skills to manage competing priorities and deadlines
Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and health professionals
A passion for improving health outcomes in the allergy and immunology field
