With offices in North Sydney, Parramatta, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Townsville, Darwin, Albury and Newcastle, GT Insurance is an underwriting agency providing tailored insurance solutions to the Australian commercial motor market.

This Underwriter role places you at the front of a growing sector of insurance. GT Insurance offers a competitive package, career growth opportunities and a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Reporting to the Queensland Manager, you will provide expertise that continues the ongoing growth of the business, whilst providing a high level of customer service to clients.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Underwriting of heavy and commercial motor business;
- Act as a referral point to other staff;
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with Intermediaries;
- Cover and retain the company’s risk exposure;
- Monitoring existing business portfolios;
- Review adverse renewals;
- Underwriting of renewals, new business and endorsements;
- Other duties as directed.

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar underwriting role is preferred. You must have the ability to make sound underwriting and business decisions, be customer service orientated, maintain a high level of attention to detail and possess strong communication and computer skills. Current ANZIIF Insurance Industry recognition is desirable but not essential.

The position commences immediately, and a competitive salary will be offered should you possess the attributes to meet this challenging role.
