Perioperative Services

Cabrini Malvern Perioperative Services is a vibrant and dynamic environment with 17 operating theatres including a Hybrid theatre, with an addition of 3 endoscopy rooms and 2 Cardiac Cath Labs spread across 2 levels in a spacious and modern facility equipped with advanced technology. Providing a full range of surgical specialties, with more than 1800 operations each month, every theatre and cath lab is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to provide patient centred care. Our 3 day-of-surgery admission points and staff focus on every patient having a positive experience with their admission to theatre, while our 3 Post-Anaesthetic Care Units and 2 discharge lounges cater for all specialist post-operative care requirements.

The Roles

We are seeking experienced & self-motivated Grade 2 / Grade 3 Theatre Technician to join our dynamic and supportive perioperative team.

We offer a supportive and challenging environment where our friendly team work closely to achieve best patient outcomes and high standards of care.

Key responsibilities:
- Assisting with the safe positioning and immediate preoperative preparation of the patient.- Assisting with positioning and connection of equipment in the theatre and maintaining a sterile field.- Assisting with the safe transport of patients to and from the ward

About you

You will have:
- Certificate III in Health Services Assistant (Operating Theatre Technician) or working towards a certificate- Victorian Working with Children Check- Ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team.- Ability to take direction and prioritise work.- Sound communication and customer service skills.- Ability to work in a physically demanding role.

Vaccination requirements

Cabrini is a healthcare provider that is captured by the COVID-19 and seasonal influenza vaccination requirements released by the Victorian government. It is a condition of employment that all staff receive the required vaccines, unless they have a relevant medical exemption. Vaccination evidence or evidence of a medical contraindication must be provided prior to commencement.

Police Check

As per Cabrini policy, a mandatory copy of a current (under 12 months) police record check must be provided prior to the commencement date.
