Perioperative Services

Cabrini Perioperative Services is a vibrant and dynamic environment with 17 operating theatres including a Hybrid theatre, with an addition of 3 endoscopy rooms and 2 Cardiac Cath Labs spread across 2 levels in a spacious and modern facility equipped with advanced technology. Providing a full range of surgical specialties, with more than 1800 operations each month, every theatre and cath lab is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to provide patient centred care. Our 3 day-of-surgery admission points and staff focus on every patient having a positive experience with their admission to theatre, while our 3 Post-Anaesthetic Care Units and 2 discharge lounges cater for all specialist post-operative care requirements.

The Roles

Our nurses are encouraged to work in a wide range of areas to broaden their skills and knowledge of the patient’s perioperative journey. The perioperative service at Cabrini is strongly committed to education and ongoing professional development of our staff with education and support for graduate, post graduate and junior nurses. Students and learners are well supported in their clinical practice, which is facilitated by a perioperative clinical facilitator and education team.- Anaesthetic/Recovery- All scrub specialities including but not limited to Orthopaedic, Urology/Gynaecology ENT, Plastics Ophthalmology, General/Endoscopy, Cardiac/Vascular Neurosurgery & Paediatric- Admission and discharge lounges

About You

You will be a Registered Nurse/Enrolled Nurse/CNS/ANUM with recent experience or a strong interest in Perioperative Services and with an interest in further developing skills to deliver excellent patient care. You will also have:
- Current AHPRA registration- Relevant Perioperative Services experience.- Victorian Working with Children Check- Commitment to quality patient care and outcomes- Ability to work within the Mission and Values of the organisation- Flexibility and a positive attitude- Attention to detail- Enthusiasm for participation in a team environment- Excellent customer service focus and communication skills

Cabrini is a healthcare provider that is captured by the COVID-19 and seasonal influenza vaccination requirements released by the Victorian government. It is a condition of employment that all staff receive the required vaccines, unless they have a relevant medical exemption. Vaccination evidence or evidence of a medical contraindication must be provided prior to commencement.
