The Redpath Group is a leading international mining contractor with projects throughout Australia and across the globe.

We specialise in the shaft sinking, mine development, contract mining, raiseboring, underground construction, engineering & technical services and specialty services to the underground mining industry.

**About the role**

The Supply Chain Manager is a new role for Redpath Australia and is responsible for ensuring Redpath Australia’s purchasing, inventory and logistics are managed efficiently. The role involves working closely with the Plant & Asset team, Operations team and external suppliers.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with vendors and foster relations with suppliers;
- Review contracts/agreements to ensure compliance with law and company policy and negotiate terms;
- Manage personnel within the purchasing and expediting process to ensure business objectives are met;
- Identify slow moving and obsolete inventory and develop strategies to deal with;
- Explore processes and freight options that represent cost savings to the company.

**We are looking for**
- Previous experience (5 years min) in an inventory management/logistics role;
- Strong commercial understanding with ability to negotiate;
- Experienced in the leadership of small teams;
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite) including Microsoft Excel skills;
- Exceptional attention to detail and exposure to deadlines;
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
- A positive work ethic and attitude in keeping with Redpath's motto, **Consider it done — safely**.
