The Faculty of Health is dedicated to being at the forefront of teaching, learning, creativity, social development, and groundbreaking research and discovery. We work closely with industry partners and government bodies to translate discoveries into real-word impact. This role will specifically be working within the School of Psychology.

**About the role**:
The Associate Lecturer, Education-focused Academic will work collaboratively as part of an undergraduate teaching team focusing on Organisational Psychology to develop and deliver learning materials and activities with guidance from the Unit Chair, to improve student learning experience, outcomes, and work readiness. The position will engage collaboratively with leaders from within the teaching team to develop effective assessment tasks and rubrics and provide clear assessment criteria and timely feedback to learners to demonstrate learning outcomes, and conduct high-quality research, scholarship and creative activities generating high impact outputs, with mentorship from leaders within the research team. The Associate Lecturer, Education-focused Academic will also help to source psychology-related placements for undergraduate students using their industry connections.

This position is suited to a person with an emerging record and passion for learning and teaching, a keen interest in contributing to community engagement for teaching and employability.

**As an Associate Lecturer, Education-focused, you will**:

- Develop effective learning materials and activities as part of a design team or with guidance from the Unit Chair and demonstrate awareness of ongoing innovation in curriculum design.
- Deliver effective teaching practices within organisational psychology-related units (e.g., HPY107, HPS328) and suggest approaches to innovate teaching practices to improve student success, engagement, and work-readiness.
- Maintain appropriate discipline knowledge and constructively review and refine own teaching practice to help maintain teaching quality standards.
- Facilitate collaborative learning opportunities at the unit level. Adapt learning material and practices to support diverse learners.

**To be successful, you’ll have**:

- PhD in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experience
- Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs, including innovative curriculum design
- Demonstrated passion for teaching and learning
- Ability to deliver effective teaching practices to improve student success and engagement
- Emerging record of scholarly learning and teaching in postgraduate or undergraduate programs
- Capacity to contribute to teaching, research and administration.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues.
- Ability to contribute to community engagement for research.
- Possess or undertake (post-appointment) Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
