Job DescriptionWe are seeking dedicated sessional lecturers in psychology in Melbourne and Sydney who are passionate about their field and teaching the next generation of psychologists.
Sessional Lecturers teach and supervise undergraduate, honours, and postgraduate psychology courses, depending on qualifications and experience. Sessional Lecturers may also contribute to the leadership and administration of psychology units and courses.
Responsibilities include:
- Teaching psychology units delivered on campus, online, blended, or a combination of these modes, and marking assessments connected to these units
- Involvement in the development and review of teaching materials for the psychology programmes
- Supervising honours and/or postgraduate research projects
- Conducting scholarly and/or disciplinary research
- Responding to student enquiries in person, via email, or via our LMS
- Participate in formal professional development activities to improve your teaching practice.

QualificationsIt is essential for the ideal candidate to meet the following selection criteria:
- Postgraduate qualifications in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology
- Registration as a psychologist with AHPRA, with Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology as your area of practice endorsement
- AHPRA board-approved clinical supervisor
- Experience with a range of psychological tests relevant to your specialisation
- Scholarly expertise and/or industry expertise relevant to teaching and training in Clinical Psychology
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work and build relationships with all levels of staff at the campus
Desirable criteria:
- Experience with course coordination
- Experience supervising psychology student research projects and/or provisional psychologists
- Professional Psychology qualifications and experience
- Research/Professional practice expertise in the area of culture and diversity
