However, many are struggling to survive in the modern, often online market. Now more than ever, online retail is the place to be. Yet the skillsets needed to achieve a fully functioning online presence are lacking within these organisations.

Furthermore, these family-run businesses don’t have the back-office sophistication of the larger players. How can they compete?

Leveraging over a decade of expertise in scaling retail-focused businesses and taking some of Australia’s most loved brands digital, our client is on a mission: acquire excellent, small Australian retailers, and transform them into prosperous, growth-minded organisations that can compete with the big guys.

They are a scale-up organisation. Within just one year, they’ve gone from $0 to a $20M organisation.

Now they are opening a brand new 1400 sq m warehouse, and they are looking for a Warehouse Manager like you. This warehouse won’t just be pallets and stock, it will house inventory, an office, and a showroom.

**Here’s what you’ll be doing day to day**:

- Getting hands-on with a brand-new warehouse, providing input into operations and layout
- Operating an LO Licence Order Picker forklift
- Managing stocktake and inventory, and shipping statutory reporting and compliance
- Processing customer orders and dispatching goods
- Unloading containers with the support of your crew
- Managing all aspects of the Warehouse Department, including, but not limited to, inventory management, crew planning, handling warehouse logistics and working with account managers to provide excellent customer service
- Working and communicating closely with internal and external stakeholders, building a collaborative culture
- Contributing to the strategic planning supporting the company’s operations and growth

You are the first team member on the ground, so from day one, this role will be hands-on. However, over time you will build a team.

- First and foremost, you are keen to grow your career and join a rapidly scaling organisation
- You are a team player. This is an overused expression, but here we really mean it. This business is on a journey, and you are going to be a key part of it
- You have a LO order picker Licence
- You can handle work that is often physical in nature
- You either have management experience, or you are ready for it
- You have decent computer skills, and can be taught how to use new software
