The Talent Mill is searching for our next Recruitment Partner Founded in 2018 by Ange Millar - who had a vision to create a bespoke recruitment consultancy that held true industry expertise. With more than 15 years of specialist expertise with luxury retail, Australian & Contemporary designer, beauty, and lifestyle brands globally we discover, recognize, and connect inspiring individuals to the most desirable brands as a trusted support to founder-led start-ups, SME’s and multinational corporations within the fashion & retail industry.

The TM was created to offer a true alternative to the churn of recruitment. An experience that honoured all parties and was more about creating meaningful, lasting working relationships and less about transactional recruitment. Ange has trained, developed and mentored many successful Recruitment Consultant both agency and internal over the last 15 years.

The Role |

The opportunity to join the team is a Fixed term contract initially to cover a parental leave term with flexibility around the contract length. We are looking for an established Recruiter or senior level Retailer (State/Area Manager) who has a genuine passion and understanding of the luxury and designer fashion industry.
- Account Management of client base - building relationship through key touchpoints
- Posting Job advertisements - identifying the most relevant platform to connect with professionals
- Offer negotiation and influencing to successfully fill roles
- Ad-hoc administration and events

Ideally based in Sydney but open to Melbourne - you love working with people, you are intuitive and a natural problem solver. You are flexible, dynamic and are known for your ability to drive results and create momentum. You understand how to connect with stakeholders and your influencing skills are second to none.

- Ideally you are a Recruiter with a strong background in fashion/luxury/designer brands however professional experience in a retail/fashion business in a Head Office role or State/Area Management role would also be great
- You try, try and try again - you are highly organised, tenacious, and resilient - giving up is not part of your vocabulary, and you are able to bounce back quickly
- A natural people connector, you are warm, naturally inquisitive, empathetic, and tenacious - you naturally attract people to you, are ethical, trustworthy, and highly principled - in short you understand the value of reputation
- Self-starter, adaptable and agile - you will operate with high levels of autonomy and independence
- You are your word - you understand how to set and manage expectations and deliver on a deadline once set
- You treat people with respect, are quick to rectify errors and always look for the lessons and silver linings - implementing the learnings to try and prevent the same error happening twice
- Excellent time management skills - you can manage multiple priorities and are disciplined in your methods for holding yourself accountable.
