As an integral member of the Legal and Regulatory Group, you will join a committed team of experts providing regulatory and policy advice and assisting to represent our client at government, agency and industry level.

**Essential Responsibilities**:

- Assisting in the development of policy objectives to guide the review of the regulatory legislation;
- Defining the strategic direction and a clear path for future regulation to promote and heighten the efficiency and growth of the business;
- Contribute to key policy development projects, the identification of emerging issues, policy research and analysis, and the prioritisation of research and policy development;
- Monitor industry issues and public debate relevant to the business;
- Prepare written submissions, briefing papers, presentations or other materials describing the proposed policy changes, regulations and other objectives needed to implement these changes;
- Review the current regulatory frameworks and provide policy insights and advice across the business on the potential impacts of legislative and regulatory reforms; and
- Review regulatory frameworks and make appropriate recommendations, which may include further studies and or implementation.

**Knowledge and experience**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Laws, Public Policy or similar, preferably at Masters level;
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in regulatory and policy development in telecommunications;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information to multiple audiences working in a large corporate environment through a variety of formats;
- Strong research, analysis and critical thinking skills and ability to exercise judgment in a highly visual role;
- Extensive influencing experience in either government or corporate environments;
- You can build and maintain a network of contacts across the business and have experience in stakeholder management;
- Demonstrated expertise in building and leveraging relationships across government and industry; and
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, re prioritise as necessary, and meet deadlines.
