Government agency looking for an Asset Manager to assist with Road Infrastructure Assets

**Your new company**

Our client is a government agency based in Brisbane that provides a number of products and services to assist in the building and maintenance of government-owned assets for transport, roads and infrastructure projects. Due to an increase in workload, they are looking to add an Asset Manager to their team to support the delivery of government services across Queensland.

**Your new role**

As the Asset Manager, you will undertake strategic planning activities and be responsible for implementing and maintaining asset management practices. This includes asset condition and lifecycle analysis, intervention treatments and handover processes. You will also undertake risk and criticality assessments, as well as develop capital works programming on behalf of the department. Additionally, you will provide high level advice, research, and analysis to ensure asset optimisation is complete and risks are limited.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful in this role, you will need to have prior experience in infrastructure asset management, using best practice asset management practices and mythologies, ideally within the public sector. Therefore, you will ideally come from a background in asset or project management, with a relevant discipline in this field. Additionally, you will have strong analytical and research skills to be able to deliver effective asset management practices, frameworks, and standards. You will also be proficient in using a range of softwares to record and present project information.

**What you'll get in return**

You will be offered an immediate start in an initial six month contracted casual role within a government agency with the possibility of extension. You will be offered a full-time temporary position paying an A06 rate + super. You may also have the potential opportunity to work from home.
