What you'll do
Ensure relevant statutory, preventative, and corrective maintenance strategies are implemented to ensure optimum performance of buildings and plant and within budget constraints.
Be responsible for building system performance to ensure compliance to Queensland Health Asset Management requirements, and
Represent the clients (Coopers Plains Campus) to ensure service delivery is aligned to business goals and corporate direction.
Ensure all procedures are implemented and managed to audit work performed by contractors are in accordance with contract terms and conditions, workplace safety practices, specifications, Campus safety protocols, codes of practice, legislation, and Australian Standards.
Support and manage emergent operational and safety risks on site such as a routine and unplanned breakdowns and outages or identified hazards through coordination of on-site principal contractors or engaged contractors.
About you
**We are searching for someone who has**:
Demonstrated experience in managing risk and management of building, engineering, and maintenance services with a broad knowledge of relevant requirements of Statutory Acts, Legislation, Regulations and Standards applicable to the facilities management environment within Queensland Health.
Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal skills, consultation, and effective communication with personnel at all levels in the organisation, external organisations, and professional groups in both the public and private sectors and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships at sector and industry levels.
Proven ability to work autonomously, utilise discretion, meet deadlines, establish priorities, and work effectively to successfully contribute to organisational objectives.
Participate in an afterhours 'on call' roster (at the discretion of the Manager, Campus Support Services).
**Please note**:
Whilst not mandatory, a relevant trade qualification with minimum 5 years' experience in facilities & operational management would be highly regarded.
