About the Role

This position is responsible for delivering a high quality lifestyle and activities program to aged care residents that will stimulate, motivate and provide residents with a sense of well-being and that is compliant with industry standards.

Duties
- Effective implementation of an Aged Care Lifestyle and Activities Program by delivering a high quality service that will stimulate, motivate and provide residents with a sense of well-being and that is compliant with industry standards.
- Commit to a high level of quality management for ATSICHS through use of LogiQC quality management systems.
- The Lifestyle & Activities Officer will provide holistic and individualised care for residents by implementing a lifestyle program in accordance with residents and their family’s wishes whilst contributing to the planning of care and evaluation of outcomes in collaboration with the Lifestyle & Activities Coordinator.
- Community and family engagement in Aged Care Lifestyle and Activities Program.
- Contribute towards a safe environment for all residents, volunteers and staff within Jimbelunga Nursing Centre.
- Cultivate productive working relationships at all levels, which support the nurturing of internal and external relationships, facilitates cooperation, trust and respect, values differences and diversity and guides, mentors and focuses on the development of staff.

**Skills and Experiences**:
COVID - 19 Requirements
- Immunisation history showing evidence of up-to-date COVID vaccinations.

Required

Genuine interest and commitment to the holistic well-being of the elderly, including an ability to empathise and understand their needs.
Experience working in a lifestyle and activities program in an Aged Care Facility.
Sound programme co-ordination skills.
Lifestyle related need and abilities.
Facilitate both group and individual personal programmes.
Facilitate client choice and decision making.
Deliver recreation activities.
Demonstrated effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Current Drivers Licence.
Current Senior First Aid + CPR Certificate.
Ability to complete busy workloads and respond to changing priorities.
Ability to work independently and flexibly in a team environment.
Preparedness to work within the core values and vision of ATSICHS and Jimbelunga Nursing Centre.
- Disability worker's screening card (yellow card) or be eligible to apply.

Preferred

A tertiary qualification relevant to the role.
Certificate III or IV in Aged Care.
