About the Role

Due to continued growth, we are seeking experienced and reliable Mechanical Fitters to join our close-knit team at Karara.
- This long term role is undertaking Mechanical Maintenance and Repair Services for the processing plant dewatering Filters Area
- Position is FIFO from Perth or DIDO from Geraldton on an 8/6 roster
- Permanent Full Time and Casual positions are available at a payrate of:

- Permanent Full Time: Dayshift $51.00 per hour and Nightshift $56.00 per hour
- Casual: Dayshift $54.50 per hour and Nightshift $59.95 per hour
- Superannuation contributions 10.5% will be paid at 7.6 Hrs / day for all days worked at site
- Accommodation and meals are provided onsite
- Karara Mine is located 250km inland from Geraldton and only a 45-minute flight from Perth
- Commencement date: ASAP

**Job Requirements**:
Duties
- Undertake preventative maintenance inspections in accordance with the maintenance planning systems and recommending appropriate follow up action
- Undertake rebuilds on slurry and centrifugal pumps as well as with associated piping and valves
- Fault finding and troubleshooting to limit downtime and improve the operational effectiveness of automated equipment including predictive and preventative maintenance measures
- Desire to upskill and achieve a higher standard

**Requirements**:

- Lathe and milling work desirable but not essential
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate or equivalent (Mechanical Fitting/Turning)
- Working at Heights and Confined Space Entry tickets (2 years from issued date)
- Nationally accredited OHS card (White card)
- High Risk Work Licence: Dogging/Rigging (desirable)
- Driver’s Licence
- Ability to follow verbal & written instructions
- Must pass Pre-employment Medical, DAS and Respirator Fit Test
- Site has Clean shaven policy; everyone must be fit tested unless they have their own PAPR or Adfo
- Onsite D&A test carried out daily
- Must have valid working rights in Australia
