**_The Role_**

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the reliability of our manufacturing equipment and systems. You will work closely with the production and engineering teams to troubleshoot, perform preventative maintenance, and respond to breakdowns.

**We need**:

- Demonstrated Experience in repairs and maintenance of food / pharma manufacturing equipment, preferably High-speed packaging, vacuuming, and sealing style units
- Experience in fault finding on complex mechanical systems in a challenging production environment
- Experience in time critical breakdown scenarios to ensure challenging production targets are met and equipment optimization is possible
- Ability to undertake, complete and report findings as part of the preventive maintenance program
- Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships, communicate and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail, information processing and problem-solving skills
- The ability to prioritise breakdowns and multitask jobs to deliver the best posable outcomes
- Ability to identify and introduce improvements in maintenance practices and plant performance
- Computer literate & ability to navigate your way around our preventative maintenance program, MEX
- Working knowledge of WHS principles
- Production maintenance, fabrication, repair and close out of MEX requests will be a focus of this position.
- Minimum Certificate III in a mechanical trade qualification.
