About Care With Us:
Care With Us is a disability service provider that provides respite/short-term accommodation to NDIS participants all over Victoria.

Role and Responsibilities:
As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for assisting clients with social and community access and providing emotional support. Your role will involve helping clients with daily living skills, meal preparations, personal care support, and medication management. You will also provide transportation to clients as needed. Additionally, you will be required to document and report on client progress, assist in skill development, and provide sensory support. The role may involve manual handling using equipment such as hoists.

**This position involves providing respite care to our wonderful clients, necessitating the support worker to stay at the accommodation. The schedule typically varies, ranging from 2 nights and 3 days to 3 nights and 4 days**

Skills Required:
To excel in this role, the following skills are essential:
1. Understanding of mental health and disability.

2. Qualification or experience in the required background.

3. Ability to establish boundaries and maintain professional relationships.

4. Strong problem-solving skills.

5. Ability to respond effectively to emergency situations.

6. Proficiency in behavior management techniques.

7. Cultural sensitivity and awareness.

8. Excellent listening skills.

Must have:
1- **Full Victorian license**

2- **Transportation (car)**

Who can apply?
- Primary caregiver
- Those who are pursuing or have completed a Bachelor of Psychology.
- Those who have a degree or certificate in the disability industry.
- Those who have experience teaching in special schools.
- Nursing students who have completed their placements.

Pay rate: up to $45/hr depending on your experience and qualifications.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual, Contract

**Salary**: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Melbourne, VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Caregiving: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (required)
- Working with Children Check (required)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (required)
- Driver Licence (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)

Willingness to travel:

- 100% (required)
