Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading superannuation fund seeking an experienced Senior Risk Manager for a 6-month contract. This role will focus on strengthening enterprise and operational risk frameworks, supporting regulatory obligations, and enhancing the risk culture across the organisation.

The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of superannuation risk landscapes, with the ability to lead risk initiatives and engage effectively with senior business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the ongoing development and execution of the risk management framework across the fund.
  • Provide oversight and guidance on enterprise and operational risk activities.
  • Ensure compliance with APRA Prudential Standards.
  • Support the Risk Committee with reporting, insights, and risk assessments.
  • Manage risk registers, key risk indicators (KRIs), and control assurance processes.
  • Lead incident and breach management, including investigations and reporting.
  • Provide risk advice to business units on key projects, changes, and strategic initiatives.
  • Contribute to the uplift of risk systems, processes, and culture.
About You
  • Extensive experience in risk management within superannuation or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of APRA regulations, ASIC guidance, and fiduciary obligations.
  • Skilled in enterprise and operational risk, incident management, and controls testing.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including with executive leadership.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
  • Background in risk, audit, or financial governance highly regarded.
