**The Division**
Transport’s Regional and Outer Metropolitan division’s purpose is to make regional and outer metropolitan NSW a better place to live, work and visit. Our division is made up of over 4,400 people in over 270 locations across NSW. We operate transport services and maintain our regional networks to help our regional communities and visitors stay safe and connected.
**The opportunity**
We have an opportunity for a Logistics Analyst to join the System Performance and Analytics team within the Regional and Outer Metropolitan Division of TfNSW.
The primary purpose of the role is to analyse and report on road freight network efficiency with a focus on continual improvement for the landside interface between the port and road operators at NSW ports.
The role also develops, interprets and presents analysis of landside interface operational data with recommendations to Transport Performance Analytics and rest of FIB to improve the efficiency of landside road freight exchange movements at Port Botany and Regional NSW.
**What you will be involved in**
In this role you will liaise with carriers, cargo owners and stakeholders to communicate the efficiency advantages obtained by extending freight movement protocols throughout the state.
You will coordinate interface between stevedores and the road freight industry and assist in managing on time and operationally efficient trucking operations in accordance with agreed performance standards, and directly become involved in resolving issues when incidents occur that impact on the ability to achieve those standards.
You will communicate real time impacts with all stakeholders and assist in managing, resolving and reporting on any road freight matters as required. Capture operational performance measures and statistics and identify problems through the use of a wide range of analytical tools and data from industry and CMCC operational systems.to address issues and make recommendations for resolution from a range of options.
You will review and analyse road operational data in order to identify performance improvements across the supply chain.
You will provide assistance and input in the resolution of complex technical, commercial and stakeholder issues and develop and maintain procedures to automate capture and analysis of information from a range of data sources.
Out of normal office hours attendance may be required in this role from time to time.
**About you**
You have data and analysis skills and are comfortable working with Microsoft Excel and Power BI will be highly regarded.
You have knowledge and understanding of supply chains and freight logistics including road transport, port and maritime operations.
A high level of resilience when dealing with animated and passionate industry stakeholders.
You have the ability to work collaboratively and use your excellent written and verbal communication skills to proactively build strong relationships with stakeholders.
You’re proactive and use your initiative and attention to detail to get things done and resolve issues independently.
You have experience working in diverse teams to tight deadlines and have a successful track record in delivering great customer experience outcomes.
Any SQL experience will be highly regarded.

The salary for this position is TfNSW Grade 6 ($94,879 to $104,367) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
