**The role**:
Nupac has a fantastic opportunity available for a Mechanical Engineering Technician to assist in the servicing, troubleshooting, operation, maintenance, installation and commissioning of capital pharmaceutical packaging equipment.
This role requires a technician with a background in capital equipment, who is both highly motivated and has the ability to work autonomously, as well as collaboratively in a service team. In this role you will have the opportunity to take ownership and responsibility of servicing and commissioning projects with a range of high profile manufacutring companies while working closely with the respected and supportive Nupac sales and technical team.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assembly and installation of new and modified machinery/components.
- Organising and supporting inspection and maintenance of machines.
- Testing and fault finding mechanical elements of machinery.
- On site problem solving, trouble shooting, servicing and repairs.
- Attending FATs with customers at supplier’s sites as needed.
- Ensuring that finished work is within specifications, regulations and contract provisions.
- Undertaking training on new equipment as required, both in customers’ sites and in overseas suppliers’ sites.
- Reporting and documenting visits.

**Experience/Knowledge**
- At least 3 years capital equipment experience.
- Experience with pharmaceutical processing and packaging machinery.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Experience with cartoning equipment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, fault finding and repairing technical machinery.
- Self motivated and ability to work autonomously.
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience with Syntegon machines is a bonus.
- Mechatronics experience is a bonus.
