Chris & Julie's Respite Farm has been successfully operating since 2011. We are industry leaders, the first service of its kind providing fully supported Farm Stays to people with disability.

We are currently looking to employ a Disability Support Worker for set rostered hours for the following shifts: Afternoon, Sleepover, and Weekend.

The applicant/s MUST have the following.
- **Availability to work afternoons, weekends, and sleepover shifts on a set weekly or fortnightly roster** (No active overnights)
- Relevant experience working with people with disability
- **NDIS Worker Screening Check**:

- National Police Check
- Working With Children Check
- First Aid
- Full clean driver's licence

The applicant should also be able to demonstrate:

- The ability to oversee the general day to day tasks of disability support care, such as cooking/assistance with cooking, supervising and assisting people with medication.
- The ability to comply consistently with policies and procedures, and occupational health and safety obligations and procedures.
- The ability to work positively with others in a team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including well-developed written and verbal communication skills, conflict resolution, negotiation, and problem-solving.
- An empathetic approach to service delivery, with a flexible and adaptable style, a sense of humour, and keen attention to detail.
- Competency to work with a range of guests with varying needs including non-verbal guests, physical or intellectual disability, personal care.

This is a casual position with a view to be permanent after a probationary period. Wage is based on the (Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award) and is paid above award rate.
