ING, Australia is seeking a passionate and driven Analyst / Associate - Real Estate Finance to join our high performing Wholesale Banking team.

Real Estate Finance is a global platform which provides financial solutions to leading sponsors in the real estate sector globally. We’re seeking to hire an analyst/associate with 2 - 4 years of experience for our Sydney office.

The key focus of the team is to increase and deepen the strategic dialogue with our client base in Australia and originate high value mandates across ING’s product offering, including secured and unsecured lending,, debt capital markets, and financial markets (including sustainable finance structuring across all products). Given the size of the team you’ll quickly be given the opportunity to grow and develop by taking ownership of different processes throughout transaction lifecycle and establishing and maintaining relationships with relevant stakeholders..

You’ll be someone with hands on credit origination experience who on a day-to-day basis will look at new deals as well as manage existing loan book; supporting our client engagement and analysis of new transactions; looking up and around at new themes and providing intel on the current market.

**What You'll Do**
- Prepare underwriting analysis, including financial projections, market analysis, key risks assessment etc.;
- Assist in transaction due diligence, documentation, and execution processes;
- Develop marketing materials to support ING’s engagement efforts towards existing and new clients
- Maintain active contacts with other departments/disciplines, such as, Risk Management, Financial Institutions, Corporate Sector Coverage, Sustainable Finance, Financial Markets, and Debt Capital Markets.

**What We're Looking For**
- 2-4 years of banking/ finance experience - ideally covering real estate sector; sustainable finance, financial markets or related financial services experience is beneficial
- Proficient cash flow modelling skills; someone who is able to work with models not necessarily build models from scratch
- High attention to detail and accuracy, demonstrated ability to systematically deliver high quality analytical work
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with highly proficient skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Good interpersonal and communication skills; who is an effective team player and high level of motivation
