Job Title

A highly skilled rehabilitation specialist is required to work with the Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel.

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality rehabilitation services that enable ADF members to recover and return to their duties.

  • You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support the journey from rehabilitation to healing.
  • Perform a variety of assessments depending on your area of clinical expertise.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders including employees who have suffered injury or illness, medical specialists, and other treatment providers.
  • Work across ADF and Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) portfolios, supporting our veterans and current ADF members.
Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering functional capacity evaluations, worksite ergonomic assessments, and activities of daily living assessments.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve common goals.
  • Providing holistic care approaches to support clients in their recovery journey.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Current unrestricted registration with relevant professional associations.
  • Tertiary qualifications in occupational therapy, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, rehabilitation counseling, nursing, psychology, or social work.
  • Clinical reasoning skills.
  • Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Passion for helping people rehabilitate.
