Senior Data Governance Professional

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Governance Professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and operationalising data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.

  • Help clients develop and operationalise data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
  • Work closely with client data owners, stewards, and business stakeholders to define data ownership models, stewardship roles, and metadata standards.
  • Conduct detailed data analysis, profiling, and data quality assessments to identify issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide input into the design of data catalogs, lineage, and business glossaries.
  • Support the implementation of data governance tools and platforms (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation).
  • Lead data governance activities within broader data transformation initiatives, including data modernisation and data migration.
  • Present insights and governance findings to senior stakeholders through clear storytelling, visualisations, and executive-ready materials.

About You:

We are looking for an experienced professional who has a strong understanding of data governance principles, frameworks (e.g. DAMA), and data lifecycle management. Your skills and qualifications should include:

  • Experience in data governance or data management, ideally within a professional services or enterprise organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and operationalising data governance strategies and policies.
  • Familiarity with data governance tools and metadata management platforms (e.g. Alation, Informatica, Collibra)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a natural curiosity to explore and untangle complex data environments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across business and technical teams.
