As a Building Surveyor's Assistant at City of Melbourne, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of building occupants and the public.
In this position, you will assist with building surveying and inspection services, respond to building complaints and enquiries, conduct building inspections and investigations, and perform plan checking and audit services for existing buildings, places of public entertainment (POPE), and buildings under construction.
You will utilize enforcement tools within building legislation to ensure compliance and contribute to the safety and enjoyment of Melbourne's vibrant community.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Excellent knowledge of Building Act 1993, Building Regulations 2018, National Construction Codes Volume One and Two;
- A good knowledge in building legislative standards and procedures;
- Current Victorian driver's licence.
