Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Counsel to join our team in Sydney or Melbourne. As a Commercial Counsel, you will provide expert legal advice to our clients and work closely with our business teams to develop and implement commercial strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and professional legal advice to clients on commercial matters, including contract negotiation and dispute resolution.
  • Work closely with our business teams to develop and implement commercial strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, and develop strategies to minimize exposure.
  • Provide supervision and development to junior team members.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, manuals, and presentations as required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a commercial lawyer or in a related field.
  • Strong understanding of commercial law and contract negotiation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
