Executive Director of Research and Development

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Executive Director of Research and Development to join our team at Hays Recruitment. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our research and development efforts, driving strategic initiatives, and providing expert guidance to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and project manage the team's research and reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of high-quality results.
- Liaise with industry experts and research organizations to capture insights and stay up-to-date on the latest trends and developments.
- Evaluate industry data to identify and adapt fit-for-purpose policy solutions, driving business growth and improvement.
- Engage with senior leadership to ensure funding and project milestones are managed effectively, and provide strategic guidance on research impact and government levers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including industry partners, government agencies, and education institutions.
- Demonstrated experience in the labour market and VET reform topics, particularly within the national and state policy context.
- End-to-end project management experience, overseeing and managing multiple concurrent projects related to data and research.
- Experience working with education or training government departments, with a strong understanding of their needs and priorities.
- Tertiary qualifications in Economics, Policy Research, or a related discipline.
- Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills, with a network within the VET sector.
