The Office of the Children's Guardian is seeking an experienced professional to oversee investigations by organisations under the Reportable Conduct Scheme. This key role requires a unique blend of skills, including effective stakeholder engagement, risk management, and rigorous investigation techniques.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaboration and Communication: Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate collaboration, information exchange, and timely responses to child protection matters.
- Risk Management: Manage highly confidential, complex, and sensitive matters to ensure risks to children are appropriately managed, employees are treated fairly, and investigations are thorough in a high-volume and high-risk environment.
- Leadership and Support: Lead and support complex, sensitive, and challenging investigations and disciplinary complaints to optimise outcomes.
- Knowledge and Experience: Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the NSW child protection system, the Reportable Conduct Scheme, and best investigative practice.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, planning, organisational, and negotiation skills.
- Senior Leadership: Demonstrated experience working at a senior or executive level in a complex organisation delivering specialist and authoritative advice to executive leadership.
