Job Title: Operations Supervisor

 

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to support the night operations of a global transport business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct, monitor and manage the activities of supervisors/team leaders in management functions to extend individual skills and achieve overall objectives.
  • Meet financial targets as set and agreed with senior management.
  • Employ, develop, and administer qualified staff to ensure high standards of client satisfaction.
  • Undertake department and staff performance reviews in accordance with commitments to ISO 9002 accreditation.
  • Ensure WH&S policy and procedures are implemented and maintained.
  • Comply with departmental and corporate operational procedure as laid down in guidelines. Recommend appropriate changes to these procedures as required.
  • Introduce and maintain day-to-day operations standards to ensure completion of daily workload and proactive duties to prepare for coming days.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to refine processes and standards within the business for better daily outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Experience in Freight Forwarding/Logistics industry.
  • Highly experienced in building and maintaining Customer Relationships.
  • Equivalent combination of Education and experience.
  • Knowledge of logistics operations requirements.
  • Specific Warehouse Management System skills.
  • Good awareness of and exposure to OH&S requirements.
  • Awareness of current logistics systems / materials handling equipment and providers.
  • Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Warehouse Management Systems.
