Financial Reporting Specialist

Maintain integrity of financial and tax records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial information for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Implement and maintain control environment for financial reporting.
  • Assist with training and development of finance team.
Financial and Regulatory Reporting:
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and group policies.
  • Responsible for financial, regulatory and head office reporting.
  • Establish processes for financial controls and tracking of key risk indicators and obligations register.
Tax Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with tax obligations, including corporate income tax instalments, goods & services tax (GST), interest withholding tax (WHT).
  • Coordinate information for preparation and lodgement of tax returns by external tax agents.
People Management:
  • Train and develop the finance team to enable robust finance controls and processes.
  • Manage deliverables and self-development for productivity improvement.
Stakeholder Management:
  • Maintain close engagement with key stakeholders, including branch management and regional finance and risk colleagues.
Auditors, Regulators & Tax Authorities:
  • Ensure accurate and complete information for auditors, regulators or tax authorities.
Change Management:
  • Support system changes or enhancements to enable proper financial reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and automation.
