Financial Reporting Specialist Position

We are seeking a skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team. Our client is a leading organisation in the retail industry, providing a professional and structured work environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in financial reporting and general ledger accounting, with a strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.

  • About the Role:
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Maintain the integrity of general ledger accounts and ensure proper documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax filings and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and analysis.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency.
  • Support audits by providing required documentation and responding to queries.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Be studying towards or a qualified CPA or CA candidate
  • Proven experience in financial reporting or general ledger accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in the retail industry is highly regarded.
