Senior Financial Reporting Specialist

This role involves overseeing financial reporting, managing client relationships, and ensuring service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a team of senior financial accountants to resolve client queries in a timely manner.
- Oversee testing of templates, processes, and system changes to ensure compliance with legislation and internal policies.
- Provide transition support for new portfolios or restructures according to client instructions.
- Conduct supervision and self-assessment testing of procedures and deliverables within the risk management framework.
- Drive initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce risk across the business.
- A minimum 6-8 years of management experience in the Australian financial services industry, with expertise in financial reporting and APRA compliance.
- CA or CPA qualification.
- In-depth knowledge of fund accounting, financial and APRA reporting, and associated operational risk and compliance requirements.
- Solid understanding of tax principles as they apply to unit trusts and their impact on unitholders.
- Up-to-date knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and APRA reporting obligations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders.
