Construction Materials Testing Laboratory Technician

In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of testing on construction materials including asphalt and aggregates. This will involve conducting thorough analysis and interpretation of the results.

  • Testing will include physical and chemical assessments to ensure that materials meet specific standards and requirements.
  • You will also be responsible for calibrating equipment and setting up laboratory instruments as required.

To succeed in this position, you will need to have proven experience working in a technical or laboratory environment. Excellent problem-solving skills under pressure are essential, as well as the ability to work flexible hours including night shifts and weekends as needed.

A Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques is highly desirable but not mandatory. You will also require knowledge of laboratory setup and calibration requirements, as well as two years' experience in Construction Materials Testing or a similar field.

Strong literacy and numeracy skills with excellent attention to detail are necessary for accurately recording and reporting test results. A valid driver's license is also required for travel to site locations.
