Job Title

This is a challenging opportunity for a Senior Laboratory Technician to lead a team in delivering high-quality construction materials testing and maintaining NATA accreditation.

The successful candidate will have a strong leadership style, be able to mentor junior staff, and foster a culture of accuracy and integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and perform geotechnical and construction materials tests to ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and NATA quality systems.
  • Liaise with field and project teams to ensure timely sample handling and reporting.
  • Train junior technicians and supervise teams to achieve accurate results.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5-7 years' experience as a NATA-authorised signatory in CMT or geotechnical testing.
  • Diploma of Laboratory Technology or equivalent tertiary qualification.
  • Sound knowledge of Australian standards and Queensland TMR test methods.
  • Experience supervising teams or mentoring junior staff in a laboratory setting.
