Senior Quality Engineering Manager Role

This role involves defining, embedding and maturing structured quality and testing processes across the enterprise.

  • Develop constructive testing and quality engineering processes that are aligned to business outcomes and regulatory obligations.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in testing and quality processes and prioritise these for implementation.
  • Deliver controlled plans for the successful adoption of new testing and quality processes.
  • Validate the effectiveness and efficiency of quality and testing processes.
  • Work with a team to establish a robust capability for coaching and guidance on new ways of working.
  • Contribute to developing policies and governance frameworks for testing and quality engineering.
  • Establish acceptable testing standards and support the uplift of quality engineering and testing at an internationally accepted industry standard.
  • Provide consultative support and coaching to test teams to drive successful adoption of testing and quality engineering processes.
  • Support the measurement and transparency of quality and risk coverage.
  • Promote the testing and quality engineering vision and policies across the enterprise.
  • Work with external partners to ensure value from partnerships and compliance with the company's vision and policies.
Key Requirements
  • Successful transformation of testing and quality methodologies with evidence.
  • Developed and implemented testing and quality processes, including streamlined repositories, clear policies and process/procedure maps.
  • Experience in modern testing practices and methodologies, such as continuous testing and agile/lean methodologies.
  • Demonstrated skills in collaboration and problem framing.

This role requires a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and testing/quality engineering capability within it.
