About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Chief Information Security Strategist to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. As a key member of our SOC, you will be responsible for leading our security efforts and working closely with technical teams and our lead security engineer to improve and align our services with customer needs.

You will play a critical role in preparing and presenting regular reports on security incidents, trends, and overall security posture to management and clients during operational monthly meetings. Your long-term goal will be to bolster our SOC services and provide excellent mentoring to junior and other analysts within the team.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in a SOC leadership position
  • Experience with at least two of Crowdstrike, Log Rhythm, Fortinet, Sentinal, Azure, or Lighthouse
  • Certification in at least two of CISSP, CompTIA Security+, Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), or Certified Cloud Security Engineer (CCSE)

Your duties and accountabilities will include:

  • Demonstrating leadership capabilities and professional development for a SOC team
  • Evaluating and recommending security tools and technologies to enhance SOC capabilities
  • Working with platform support engineers and SOC Solution Lead to align and drive the SOC Roadmap
  • Supporting a growth mindset within the SOC Analyst team and adopting mature ways of working to establish improvement across the SOC services, including Threat Intelligence and Threat Hunting
  • Providing overall ownership of the SIEM and associated improvement activities
  • Ensuring that SOC operations comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices
  • Continuously evaluating and improving SOC processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness and work with the Service Management team to identify improvements to process and governance
  • Uplifting the Knowledgebase with the SOC Analysts to improve Playbooks and Use cases
  • Developing and implementing strategies to mitigate identified risks and enhance overall security posture for the SOC and our clients
  • Preparing and presenting regular reports on security incidents, trends, and overall security posture to management and clients during Operational monthly meetings
  • Communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders to provide updates and recommendations on security matters
  • Staying abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and attack techniques to inform the SOC's defensive strategies
