Merivale is dedicated to transforming the hospitality landscape at Sydney's premier stadiums – the SCG and Allianz Stadium (SFS). We are set to host a variety of significant events, including major sports competitions and concerts featuring top-tier international performers. Our team comprises some of the finest culinary talents, including renowned chefs such as Jordan Toft, Dan Hong, Mike Eggert, Ben Greeno, and Vincenzo Biondini. During your visit to these venues, you can expect an array of beloved Merivale offerings, such as Totti's, Vinnie's Pizza, Coogee Pavilion, and Jimmy's Falafel, among others.

Position Overview

We are in search of an outstanding Head Chef to oversee our Stadium Retail Kitchen teams on a full-time basis. Our chefs embody our core values and prioritize the guest experience in their daily operations. This role will involve collaboration with the retail team, which manages various outlets across both stadiums, featuring popular Merivale selections like Jimmy's Falafel wraps, Queen Chow dumplings, El Loco Hotdogs, and more.

Key Responsibilities

To excel in this position, candidates should:

  • Demonstrate a passion for leading and mentoring large teams of 10+ chefs while effectively managing operations across multiple kitchen locations.
  • Exhibit strong financial acumen and management skills to oversee production and minimize waste, ensuring sales targets and profit margins are achieved.
  • Be innovative, solution-oriented, and deeply committed to the culinary industry.
  • Uphold product quality across all outlets, delivering a restaurant-level experience.
  • Possess a solid understanding of WH&S protocols and effectively manage HACCP systems.
  • Have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar capacity, working closely with various management levels, including executive chefs and senior management.
  • Preferably have experience in multi-outlet venues, arenas, or large-scale event spaces.

You will collaborate with some of Merivale's most esteemed brands, expected to maintain the same high-quality standards at the stadium as in our restaurants.
