Senior AV Technician

Award-winning event production powerhouse Encore is a global leader in delivering extraordinary experiences for our clients. We're seeking an exceptional Senior Audio-Visual (AV) Technician to join our Canberra-based team.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be a customer-focused professional with a deep understanding of client needs and the ability to recommend solutions that meet their goals. As a key member of our venue team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring seamless execution of audiovisual events.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert guidance and support throughout the event planning process.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to prepare client meetings, drive sales initiatives, and optimize revenue growth.
  • Maintain efficient department operations, administering billing, and facilitating communication with Accounts, venues, and interstate offices.
Requirements

To succeed in this dynamic role, you'll need:

  • Demonstrated expertise in operating audiovisual equipment, including experience with Hybrid and Virtual events.
  • Customer-centric mindset and exceptional service skills.
  • Strong lighting knowledge, proficiency in GrandMA, advanced seamless switching, camera setup, video and data networking, LED wall setup, and programming.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards of personal presentation.
  • Riggers Ticket certification (highly regarded).
