Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join our Environmental Management team and implement best practice management for controlling priority weeds and preserving local natural resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inspections on public and private lands to identify priority weeds and enforce relevant provisions of the Biosecurity Act 2015.
  • Provide specialist technical expertise to land managers regarding weed control techniques.
  • Develop educational material and establish relationships with stakeholders to enhance community knowledge on weed-related matters.
  • Control priority weeds on our own land.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Qualifications and/or experience in Horticulture, Conservation, or a similar field (highly desirable).
  • Demonstrated experience in identification and control of weeds, including operation and maintenance of powered weed spraying equipment.
  • Good computer skills and ability to use electronic mapping systems.
  • A Class C Driver's Licence (LR Licence or higher desirable).
