Land Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Land Management Specialist to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for undertaking various vegetation management and rehabilitation activities for private industry and government authorities as a member of a professional team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vegetation clearance for bushfire management
  • Bush regeneration and habitat restoration
  • Native tree planting and weed control
  • Brush cutting and manual control techniques
  • Chemical spraying and herbicide application

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in bush regeneration, including herbicide application, brush cutting, and manual control techniques.
  • Good local native plant and weed species identification.
  • Completed or enrolled in a Certificate in Conservation & Land Management or related qualification relevant to bushland management.
  • Practical knowledge of work health and safety policies and procedures, risk management practice, and principles.
  • Ability to operate vehicles and field equipment.
  • Physical fitness, a solid work ethic, self-motivation, and ability to function in a team environment.
  • A current NSW driver's license.
  • White Card (construction induction).
  • ACDC/ChemCert qualifications.
  • Available for a minimum of 3 days per week, Monday - Friday.
  • Available to occasionally work away from home for up to 5 days at a time.
  • Strong attention to detail and company policies, codes, and values.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • First Aid.
  • Chainsaw qualifications.
  • Strong knowledge and identification of weeds and weed control methods.
