About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead engineering projects within a highly successful and innovative company. You will be based in our Adelaide, SA office, where you will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving towbar and related accessory solutions that meet the needs of our diverse customer base.

Candidates must be Australian citizens only.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designing and developing new towbar products and components using computer-aided design software - AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Testing and evaluating prototypes to ensure they meet all safety, quality, and performance standards.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimise the manufacturing process.
  • Overseeing the development and implementation of manufacturing processes.
  • Analysing engineering data and identifying areas for product improvement.
  • Creation of CNC programs for production. Basic knowledge of CNC programming is required.
  • Preparing detailed reports, technical documentation, and presentations.
  • Providing technical support and advice to customers as required.
  • This position will lead a team of 3.
  • 1-2 years of management experience is required for leading the team.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar design and development role, preferably within the automotive or related sector.
  • Strong industrial design and product development knowledge.
  • Proficient in using CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Experience in project management and working to tight deadlines.
  • Hands-on fabrication experience is an advantage.
  • Leadership and people management skills.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
