In Australia, domestic and family violence is a prevalent issue. Many individuals experience trauma, leaving them vulnerable to exploitation and harm.
This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact by providing essential support services to those affected by domestic and family violence.
About the RoleYou will work within a team to deliver case management and safety planning support to women and children escaping or experiencing domestic violence.
Your responsibilities will include facilitating safe accommodation, conducting thorough risk assessments, and collaborating with specialists to provide best-practice responses.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide safe accommodation to women and children experiencing domestic violence.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments using a trauma-informed framework.
- Work with families to source suitable, safe, and sustainable accommodation.
- Collaborate with a team of specialists to deliver integrated responses.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a relevant Human Service Qualification.
- Knowledge and understanding of domestic violence and its impact on children.
- Experience working with diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Current driver's license.
