About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Level 2 Systems Engineer to join our dynamic service desk team.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration, Windows Servers, Active Directory, and virtualisation technologies (VMware).

You will be responsible for providing timely and effective Level 2 technical support for escalated issues from the service desk, administering and supporting Microsoft 365 environments, and performing administration and troubleshooting of client server infrastructure.

In addition to your technical skills, you will participate in IT projects, create and maintain clear documentation for client systems and procedures, and contribute to a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert technical support for clients across diverse server, network, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Entra ID.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot client server infrastructure, including Windows Servers, Active Directory, and virtualisation technologies (VMware).
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a Level 2 or Level 3 Service Desk capacity and Systems Engineer role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID).
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualisation (VMware).
Experience/Skills:
  • Strong technical proficiency across the Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Solid experience with Windows Servers, Active Directory, and virtualisation technologies (VMware).
  • Fundamental understanding of networking principles (IP, subnets, DNS, DHCP) and hardware.
Qualification:
  • Essential: Higher School Certificate (HSC), Certificate IV in Information Technology, and/or Microsoft Technology Associate (MSA).
  • Desirable: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, along with any relevant networking or server-related certifications (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco).
